Wish he would hurry up. I would like to hear his opinion on the current situations; home and abroad.

I've said it before: The GOP has yet to see an actor they didn't want to elect to high office...

    What a bunch of rubes.

I heard a Republican say that his announcement may have hurt him since it was done on a debate night. The gist of it was that while the other candidates were discussing serious issues, Fred decided to trade jokes with Jay Leno.

Do you actually think most Americans give a moist ca-ca about serious issues? Paris Hilton or any Dancing With The Stars winner has a better chance of getting elected than most "serious" candidates. Thompson is doing the only thing that will ever get him elected.

    DWS,

I was just passing along something I'd heard a Republican say. I really don't care if he's right or wrong.

That Republican is extrememly short sighted. Being on Leno got him more national coverage with people who may actually vote than any untelevised debate he could have attended.

I agree. He was smart to go on Leno. He had the stage to himself and a national captive audience rather than trading barbs with 8 other wannabe's in New Hampshire. Fred's gonna do it right by addressing the voters rather than playing to the press.

I think he made a very smart move. Americans are not happy with the BS staged events that the media puts on to attempt to titillate us on prime time TV. Their agenda is not my agenda. Their spin is not my spin. I will take my chances with a fresh approach and I like what Fred has to say so far.

He is a strong supporter of the Constitution, The Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment. That is 100% better than Romney, Rudy or Hillary and Obama!

Ron Paul, nice man that he is, could not pull 10% of the vote today! Right or wrong he is not someone to hitch up your wagon to. The Libertarian View is not mainstream in this country!

We need a true leader for this country. The Government puts us in war then they don't want us to do the JOB. This country is complaining about the lives lost so far over the last four years of this war, Hell; there were 5800+Marines lost on IWO alone in thirty days. Let us do the job they wanted us to do.. Oh reah and by the way, lets not forget the Teachers who have to deal with the punk kids and the Police and fireman who also protect us. They need a pay raise too. Liberals don't give a hoot about them. they only want to creat thinkless gov. progams, jobs and increase our taxes to cover their cost. WTH. Lets Put someone in office that lead from the front. Thompson's the man for that JOB

We lost more on the 1st Day on Omaha Beach than have been lost so far in Iraq.

    Just a comment:
    Teachers ARE liberals.

Check out the positions of their national union.

Sandy taught school for 22 years. You wouldn't believe some of the stories she told me, and these were the people teaching our children![V]
