Cocaine Found Hidden in Broccoli Shipment





PHARR, Texas (AP) -- There was more than vitamin C in a truck-load of broccoli.

US Customs agents report they found 1,200 pounds of cocaine stashed under the veggies at a border crossing in south Texas.

Customs officers using an X-ray scanner noticed some odd shapes in the floor of the tractor-trailer coming from Mexico. Officials of U.S. Customs and Border Protection say a drug-sniffing dog helped officers find a secret compartment containing 500 bricks of coke, worth an estimated
$40 million. The driver wasn't charged, but officials say the investigation is continuing.

    My wifes uncle just returned from visiting his in-laws in Columbia. His MIL filled a ziplock with about 3 lbs. of a finely ground corn maze and threw it in his luggage. Needless to say he got the full drill when he checked his bag at the airport. He is a nice guy but trouble just seems to follow him around.
