for anyone who picked .243, thats just a necked down .308 so your vote goes with all the other 308ers 0 -
Well Kel-tek is making a .308 with a 32 inch barrel, gets better ballistics than 30-06 from a 24 inch barrel (4% more muzzle energy than a -06 24 inch)
So how about long barrel .308 or normal barrel 30-06?
They are close enough, that matching ballistics only requires adding a few inches of barrel to the .308.
So I'd go with the .3080 -
