Gander Mountain

I went to Gander earlier to kill some time. While I was there I thought I would get some powder for reloading my 7mm Rem. so I get three pounds of IMR 7828 and then I noticed that the price had been blacked out with a marker. So I asked for a price check and they wanted $39.99 for a pound of powder!!

I knew that they were high but man now they have gone completely crazy.

I can get it at the local gun club for $22 per lb. I won't go back.

    Cabela's is very over-priced, but around here that is the only place to find some specialty ammo. Gander Mountain vs Bass Pro shop is decided on the product I am looking to buy and the selection or current specials![:D]

    I live in Northern Illinois.
    Gander Mountain also used to go bankrupt every 7 years or so and stick it to there suppliers pretty good. That was when they had mostly mail order business. There retail stores remind me of a big warehouse full of "eye candy". With nothing I actually want or need!
    I'll stick with Cabelas. I feel their selection and customer service are top notch.
