I really dont care one way or the other IF he is digging for Cleopatra's remains or whoever, it is not like him,...

And if muzza said he made some inquiries, then tell everyone what they are, who he contacted etc and what he found out, not just

quote:Made some enquiries - appears he is on a sabbatical , digging for General Custers cartridges , due back fairly soon.

That is bull...there is no one answering the phone etc, so unless he knows ppl and wants to post it, then I will continue on with the ppl I know and trust will give me the answers I am looking for...

OK BR...Who have you contacted, who have you made inquiries of, and what have you found from them? I agree that it is not like Teak to just leave and let his auctions get that kind of feedback. But hey, maybe he is in Montana digging for bullets or other artifacts.

I have made inquires of his neighbors, other forums and now the police are helping...they are involved, and yes I have told them he may be in Russia (his wife is from there)....
I have also searched the obits, but the newspapers wont let you search back past Oct 10th....Public records are not much help except for his name, propery he owns, any type of liens etc...so what else do you want to know iluvguns??

Thanks for looking into that -- it surprised me when I didn't hear back from him after I emailed about one of his auctions (including a follow up email when I didn't hear from him after the first email). That was some weeks back; I just figured my email may have been diverted to a spam folder or lost some other way. It wasn't anything major, so I never followed up on it.

It is disturbing to see his auctions abandoned. Even if there was some emergency taking him out of the country, he could still close down his auctions from any computer with internet access, if he had somehow forgotten to close them before leaving.

I would think that there must be some people locally who know him and know what's happened; if no one knows him well locally, and he's not where he is expected to be, getting the police involved is a good move.

Keep us informed on what you learn.

I wish I had seen this tread earlier. I was in Dover this morning and was less than a mile from Teak's house. I could at least have driven by to see what signs of life there were from the street. I have done business with him in the past and he is a straight shooter.
