i walked around the winchester plant today
eat your heart out bert-h and only winchester!
want me to pick up a brick from the rubble for you?
what a site to see vines growing thru smashed out windows knowing the history of the old place.[:(]
though some of the old buildings are still around, a lot has been razed over the years as they cut back and were required to do away with the hazmat lead infested walls and grounds.
i'll post pics later on.

Actually, if you could grab a few bricks, they'd make cool giveaways! 0 -
Was there in 1999 when some of it was still open. I can only imagine it now. Cant wait to see your pictures.

Kind of liked the ol Winchester 94..
But that was about all Winchester had going for them...0 -
Kinda looks like 1899, not 1999.
Happy - How about the Model 70??

Or the 12, or 42 , or 21 ....Or what about the 88. There was a time when Winchester took great pride in their crafsmanship. 0 -

I'd love to have a couple of the old bricks.
I knew a guy years ago that had a brick from the garage where the St. Valentines Day Massacre happened. Allegedly his wife threw the brick out while she was cleaning his dresser drawers!!0
