Congrats to her. Sounds like if you are goimg to loose a gun, you lost it to the best possible person you have. A pat on the back for bringing those kids up right.

i couldn't think of a better way to dispose of a firearm so i could get a new one. That is an excuse that i am sure the significant other will buy. You might even get one for Christmas if you are nice to Santa.

Congrats! Have an 11 yr old granddaughter that shoots with me. She now considers several of my rifles "hers", and keeps casting greedy little eyes at my Ruger Standard Auto. Just remember, guys- in another 10 yrs, that little girl with the doe and muzzleloader will be voting on whether you and I get to keep owning guns. (HINT- take a kid shooting. If you don't have one, BORROW one.)

If I had gone through this whole forum for the last week, I couldn't have found a post that gave me more pleasure. That's wonderful! No other way to say it.

...wonderful! Do you have any pics of her with the deer, us older hunters would appreciate seeing the newest muzzleloader owner and her harvest?

You may remember and miss the gun, but its a story she'll be telling her granddaughter. And so you shall be remembered for two more generations. Just think if she hands it down to her granddaughter.

I also wish I had a pic. of her WIDE eyes and the hugs I got when I pulled in her drive Sun. night. I have heard every detail many times.

    How cool!!
I have several of my Grandfathers guns. I cherish them. I only wish he would have handed one of them to me while we was alive. You did a wonderful thing.
    Congratulations!!
    Merry Christmas
