This strikes me as fairly crazy.
Bought a set of used RCBS dies at auction and they arrived today. Opened the cardboard shipping carton and detected a strange odor. Opened the green plastic box the dies come in and was hit with strong odor of gasoline. Apparently the seller had used a gas-soaked paper towel to wipe down the dies and make them look all clean and such and then tucked the paper towel into the plastic box with the dies. The entire inside of the box was wet with gasoline.
Now, using gas as a cleaning solvent is the height of folly. Just about the most dangerous thing you can do. Then to place a paper towel soaked with gas inside a box seems like asking for a fire or maybe even a small explosion.
The USPS would have had a cow if they had known what was in the box.
