Is the chinese government looking for a war?
It's no secret that the united states and chinese governments have not been on good terms for more than a decade... From everything ranging from running over students with tanks, to threatening our homeland, to invading Taiwan; it hasn't been a pretty picture.
And today it was announced that Fisher Price is recalling a massive amount of its popular toys because they were coated with a lead based paint. And suprise? These toys were imported from china. Fisher price was able to recall 66% of the toys before they hit the store shelves... but over 300,000 have already been sold.
This just after the chinese sold america pet food loaded with rat poison. Not to mention the defective automobile tires that have resulted in deaths, as well as Pulse-ox devices containing mercury.
Is it just me, or is deliberately and deceptively exportings products that kill people really asking for trouble?

I don't think it's got anything to do with the government. Look at BB and how they do business nowadays. 0 -
China isn'y pushing for a war. What they will and have done is push buttons. 0 -
It's the government that is calling the shots here. The chinese people and civilians, for the most part, are actually rather peaceful.
Think about the other things they've done during the past several years. Continuing to boast about their growing military, trying to intimidate russia due to their ever increasing need for energy. Remember, it is the chinese government who plants spies in cyber cafes to make sure its people aren't accessing content on computers they don't think is appropriate. And it's the same government who disbands organized religious groups that don't follow an eastern philosophy as being "cultist"
And let's not forget them trying to steal the technological secrets from one of our aircrafts they forced to land on their territory after shooting it.
They knowing let these companies export dangerous products.
I'm not so much worried about the country as a whole... I'm more worried about the people in power over there. Whether or not the united states government has any intentions of considering military action unless it is defending itself, I don't know... but the chinese government sure is doing alot of blatantly hostile things. And I'm afraid the chinese infantry are probably going to do whatever their boss tells them...0 -
"Most Favored Nation" trading status. Thanks Bill! Was it worth it for all those campaign dollars? Idiot! 0
