Mossy ATR/Stevens 200/or Savage?

    If you are going to use this on deer sized game I would go with the 257 if you reload and the 25-06 if you don't.

    That's a possibility. I hunt now with a 50 caliber ML. I love hunting with blackpowder. If I get the chance(ever) to head out west and hunt I'll take it along for the pure excitement.

    I'll put some more research in the 257 before I buy. Thanks!

    Savage rifles, with or without the accutrigger, offer exceptional quality for the "budget" minded! Their off the shelf accuracy is well documented/known, as well.
    The 25-06 chambering is a VERY versatile one, allowing for projectiles ranging from approx. 80gr on up to about 125gr.

    How about a 270 Ruger 77 I believe it's called a Mark 2. Stainless with a synthtic stock, like new with rings?
    A friend is looking at it today and I'll be listing it next week!
