I'd worry more about Jullianis, McCains and other flip-flop trash.

Short by 14 votes. The Senate is hoping that nothing will be done on the immigration issue until after the elections of 2008. This should tell us something about where their hearts are on immediate action to improve our national security, as in securing our borders and ports of entry.

The politicians are just waiting for the 2008 elections to swing their way with more than 20 million illegal alien votes through the Motor Voter registration System.

Thats right, through the Motor Voter registration System all one needs to do is obtain a drivers license or a "state" ID card and he or she is a registered voter without being an American citizen.

Could be the time to start reviewing US Citizenship as an institution. As I mentioned before, I think Heinlein had the right idea -- only get your voting rights through public service of some sort. But that's an idealistic view which doesn't necessary mean it could work in the real world, though thinking that if making voting a privilege that one has to earn and service voluntary it could be the only way that could work. Who knows, can only theorize about it.

For sure, too many of them cannot be trusted to be loyal to the folks who put them in office to protect the American way of life as most people want it to be.

This bill is dead for 2007, 2008 and most likely forever. I can't see any political group that can pass it ever.
