I do not know about the mag but here is the answer to the rifling

***Note on Polygonal Rifling! Please do not be alarmed if the bore of your CZ-82 pistol appears to be smooth. Polygonal Rifling replaces traditional lands and grooves with a rounded polygonal pattern that has a more "hills and valleys" appearance. Advantages to Polygonal Rifling include: Higher bullet velocities due to reduced friction from lesser surface area than traditional rifling. Reduced bullet deformation and drag for increased accuracy/range. Longer barrel life, and reduced buildup of copper or lead

I bought one when they frist went to C&R. Never noticed if the mag would drop when the side was closed.
Just went to check and my mag drops both when the slide is locked back and when it is closed. As far as no rifling, Sharpshooter has it right. Its hard to see but there is rifling in the bore.

Mine is very accurate and comfortable to shoot.

Thanks guys for the information, I was really concerned that it was shot out and had some problems.

Remember that you can not shoot lead bullets through a barrel that has "polyganal" rifleing. There are many reasoons for the fact that quality gun manufacturers do not use it. (and yes, I know that Glock uses it)[V]

Some of the mags have an abundance of finish on them and will hang up slightly. You can wait until the mag wears down over time or you can use a med fine stone and oil to smooth it out.
