If you believe in Hillary care
just ask her if she and the rest of our Elected officals will use it also so we all have the same Medical Care. What's good for the People should be good for them. Maybe our SS should be used by them.

so if i read you correctly i am better off with no health coverage than with even substandard care? i cannot afford top medical coverage, hell i can't even afford the lowest availible 0 -
1911a1fan, Would you rather be in Canada? If so just move. I hate communisum, even if brought to you by hidding behind "Here let me help you" Come on NO ONE gives something for nothing. NOT even the American Gov. 0 -

where the heck did you read i would rather be in canada?
don't know enough about her actual plan, but what ever it is it is designed for her to attract votes i'm sure
my point is, how many of you have health insurance? how many of you know what it is like not to have insurance, not for six months or a year i mean long term, i have not had it since i turned 18 24 years ago, and it sucks, i'm at that age i need at least a physical, anything would be welcome, i have lupus and cannot afford to treat it, if we can afford to give health care to 12 million illegals we sure the hell can afford to provide it for our citizens0 -
Socialized medicine does not work. Look at the health care mess in the UK or in Canada. All it does is lower the standards of care and refuse care to people at a horrendous cost.

Ofcourse it works perfectly ...I even have a plan for helping Hilary after she won...[:)] (bout smart details to make it even bether than over here)..Jupp i'm promoting myselfe here....[;)]
But what's the freedom part bout being able to chose whatever care u want...If when u get unemployed u cant afford to get any help at all...That's not freedom that's just cruel ways of keeping the workers as slaves working untill they drop.and when the system can't use u anymore they just get rid off u a.s.a.p.
Is it FREEDOM to turn the people in to scared workingslaves ?
I dont think so [8D]
Anyhoe your country would need a third political option...
sumthing like the REAL freedomloving personalrights defending liberals....At least we Swedes have em and we call them socialdemocrats....Hmm maybe i should export those ideas over the pond...Hmm again [:D] Actually i'm doing that by being here.0 -
Old fool...and why can healthcare be so horrendously costly then ?
...and how to solve those problems...Well it's as easy as that [:)]0 -

just because theirs is a failure doesn't mean the united states couldn't do better, when was the last time canada or the uk successfully launched anything into space or landed on mars
i believe it can be done, even if not perfect ,most health insurance plans have draw backs, the hmo plan is a joke, deductibles are skyrocketting, for me to provide health insurance would cots me 800.00 bucks a month with a 500 dollar deductible per person per year, with no dental or vision, i would gladly welcome a medical card0 -
I am 100% against a National Health Plan.
I am self-employed and cannot afford Insurance.
1911a1fan, I would rather have nothing at no cost than substandard fare at exorbitant cost. You seem to be forgetting that this will cost ALOT!!!
If you get sick, why should I pay for your bills? In the same light, if I get sick why should you pay my bills?
Socialism sucks!!0 -

But when did the United States run any financial plan without going over budget and having leaks of $500 hammers etc...
If you think you can't afford $800 a month now, what makes you think you will afford it when you are forced to pay it in icreased taxes?0 -
Well u see one of the problems RUGERGUNZ...So then all that needs to be done is figuring out ways of dealing w the problems then. 0 -

...or as I've pointed out, the VA system.0 -

if i where not white i would have better coverage than i do now0 -

I completely agree!
But I still don't want socialism. The tax cuts we could recieve by saving this money would allow individuals to cover themselves. If they choose not to, then I don't feel obligated to cover them with my money.0 -
ECC, absolutely great example. I am so glade that the Navy put me on the Permanent Disability Retired List when I retired. I now use Tricare Prime with the civilian health care providers, not the horrendously under funded and over regulated VA nightmare.

How to cover anything.... even your rearend if u cant afford it ?
Is that the kind of freedom u defend ????????????????0 -
but we both know if we did get a tax cut it would not mean the bad unecasary things would be cut, but schools, roads and military/law enforcement would receive the first cut
even if her and others health care plan just made awareness of the issue it could raise concern as to why we cannot afford it, come on 15 bucks for a aspirin in the hospital, something needs to be done, immigrants can come here get free education to be the doctor that treats us and make 7 figure salaries
it's time for a restructure all the way around0 -
So your in favor of Hillerys redistribution of wealth?
Sorry I worked for mine, I ain't sharing it with you.
If the government would get out of controlling health care, and let the market control the cost of health care, you wouldn't have a $15 aspirin.0 -

No I read it, you are in favor of allowing Hillery to redistribute wealth in this country. 0 -

What VA are you using? I use the VA Asheville, NC and think they are about the best ever. Sure there are bumps and wrong turns but as far as I'm concerned, they stand head and shoulders above anything else out there. They are 96 miles up the road so glad to be able to use Tricare if I need to and glad to know the choice is mine to make.0 -
been considering changing my german/american name to messico/americo so i can get health care FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE 0 -
1911a1-
I have almost always had health care so I can't speak from a lot of experience.
But, if you have an emergency, my understanding is that you can still go into a hospital and get treated. They can't refuse you treatment. And if you can't afford it, they can't get blood out of a turnip.
And you could use clinics for the small issues and just pay the tab instead of paying 800 per month. I just had breakfast today with a young farmer who broke his foot and has no insurance. He paid $400 to have his foot taken care of. He can't afford insurance on himself but does pay for coverage for his pregnant wife and new baby.
And you will eventually get medicare or medicaid at some point free as well if I understand correctly.
I'm not trying to kick you while you are down, and I don't know your whole situation, but I don't necessarily agree.
Are you permanently disabled and unable to work somewhere that provides benefits? If I had no benefits, I would be actively seeking a job that would provide them even if I had to move out of state. Or I would try to get a job that would pay enough that I could afford the $800 a month. We all make our choices in life. If you don't like your situation, I would work to change it.
If you ARE disabled, there may be other programs that may be able to help.0 -

good by credit, and future ability to buy a home/car etc., went to the hospital/clinic before, they don't offer the best of care

i agree, but it is not as if i picked the lowest paying job i could find, around here insurance is hard to get at any job, if they do provide it you have to pay for the rest of your family to be covered, the 800 bucks a month i spoke of is through my wifes new job, and that is with them paying for her coverage {besides the lupus i am ok physically, just can't go in the sun}
allot of you guys on here have jobs you have had for awhile that provides insurance, pension plan, paid vacations, etc, but now days employers are not providing much at all, i don't consider a 401k a good pension plan, nor health coverage that can consume a good portion of your check, hell my wifes new job doesn't even offer sick days, 1 weeks vacation for the first 5 years
minorities, illegal aliens, prisoners, people living in poverty all have free health care, middle class whites do not, i don't understand how a plan that could cover everyone else will be the downfall of the U.S.A. as some of you claim
edit: some of you claim you will be paying for it, i got news for you, you and me are already paying for every person on welfare, and illegal aliens health care0 -

...or as I've pointed out, the VA system.
Yeah, I would like to Hillary fix that first. Heck, with a socialized nationalized health care, why would we need the VA system?
Problem solved.0 -
I'd rather choose who I share my money, time, etc. with than be forced by gummint taxes. I am thankful that I have the ability to choose to help those that need it, but when it becomes a tax, it doesn't do anything for me. 0 -
All of the politicians talk about National Health Insurance and making a law that everyone has to be insured. I paid $72,000 over a ten year period for health insurance and never had so much as a sniffle or even saw a doctor. I decided to keep my money and just pay cash if and when I needed a doctor. Needless to say I was able to afford a lot of things I couldn't get before and managed to save a good bit up. If you stay away from the emergency room and don't allow hopitals to run 50 unneccessary tests on you just to cover their asses in case you sue them, then medical care costs about the same as maintaining your car. The insurance companies are the only ones who will make out with Hilary's deal or any of them. 0
