and i am sure he will return the money he sued the gun manufactures for too ?0 -
I'm having a hard time swallowing this one. 0 -
It irritates me that the NRA would even allow him to speak at a function. 0 -
While I don't dare speak for their organization, I would imagine they want to compromise and get their foot in the door in the even Rudy is elected. Kind of like when the unions were talking to Regan before he was elected. 0 -

And trying to turn a former enemy into a "friend" is bad how? And talking along does not automatically mean "compromise" by the NRA. It appears to me that Rudy G. has been the one to compromise already.0 -

If you think Rudy will EVER be a "friend" to gun owners I've got some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you....0 -
Vote for Paul or Huckabee if you really want to keep your guns. 0 -

That lawsuit is still going by the way. Its in the 2nd district federal court even though congress said you can't sue a mfg for the actions of criminals.
Rudy is a turncoat and would take your guns away in a NY minute!0 -
It does show the NRA is a serious voting bloc to be reckoned with.
Like it or not,we must support it.
I wish I could trust his flip flop.0 -

Yes. It would be a cheap shot for me to say "That's also the arguement Columbia U. is taking with Iran."
If we are fortunate enough to have Rudy over Hillaryhussien Edwards, we shall see which way Rudy flops on an AWB. I hope I don't have to say "I told you so."
On the other side of things, it is interesting how the demoncrats welcome any politian with open arms that is willing ot convert and bow to the alter of abortion, but the conservatives in America are always skeptical.0 -
Because it's the only effective voice we have and the anti's fear it.
If it weren't for the proven membership numbers, all candidates would poo poo the NRA.
Now politicians feel compelled to make public position statements.
I'm old enough to remember when the NRA was unconcerned with gun rights and self defense issues.
Wayne LaPierre gives a good account of himself against any and all anti's.
While we may have some issues with him, he's the best we've ever had.
For these reasons the NRA deserves your membership.0 -
If the NRA endorses Rudy, we "must" support it?
Appearently the left doesn't have the market cornered on sheeple....0 -
Takes exactly the same number of living brain cells to be a rabid socialist left wing democrat as it does to be a rabid fascist rightwing republican.
"0".....0 -

I can't believe people would be stupid enough to believe Rudy has changed his spots.
Oh wait...........nevermind.0 -

Do you believe that the NRA will endorse Rudy? Have you ever been to an NRA official function where big money gathers and most everybody and their brother vows love for John Wayne and looks forward to their next visit to the Alamo? I'd be surprised if you see Wayne LaPierre on national TV saying that Rudy is the NRA's Bud.0 -

Well said. If you're a front line soldier and you hate your commander, and your commander makes a lot of mistakes, BUT your commander wins more than he loses and most importantly, there is no replacement for him at the moment, you support your commander.
Seems pretty simple to me why I support the NRA.
You don't see Rudy G. (formely anti-gun, probably still anti-gun) trying to cozy up to any of the other pro-gun organizations do you?
Is so, please tell us which one(s).0 -

And why, pray-tell, would you think he is a former enemy? Because he is saying the "right things" to get elected?
You can dress up a pig with perfume, rouge, lipstick and a nice dress and call it your girlfriend, but it still a pig after all is said and done.[;)]
Rudy is the perfect image of what the NRA really supports. A public image of defenders of the 2A, but with only a modicum of actual support for gun-owners. This coupled with vigorous support for government regulation and control of the "privilege" to keep and bear arms, not the "right" to do so.
The NRA does a great job in the areas of gun-safety, firearms training, range development, youth firearms programs and hunting related issues. They should confine their efforts there.
They suck, by design, at the important stuff, like defending the RTKBA, period. They sure do have a bunch of people fooled though.0 -

My point isn't that the NRA will endorse Rudy.....
I'm simply stunned that there are people who say we must support whatever endorsement the NRA makes...0 -

Me too! They never give an A rating to any anti-gunners, never.[xx(]0
