Brickyard, ESPN, and Hoosiers
ESPN keeps calling Tony Stewart a Hoosier. I guess it's from the time I spent in Southern Illinois, but Hoosier is a derogatory white trash term down there. Every time I here them say the Hoosier is behind Earnhardt, I laugh.
...like Southern Illinois has any room too look down on Indiana.
Does anywhere else use "Hoosier" in such a manner?

I've heard this from my cousin in St. Louis. (Pretty much the same area, eh?)
And, of course, when a Boilermaker uses Hoosier in a deragatory way it refers to the IU/Purdue rivalry.0 -

Yes, Granite City uses it a lot (Illinois side of St. Louis), but I first heard it at Carbondale.0 -
At least us "Hoosiers" have decent gun laws. Last time I checked we didn't need no damn FOIT card. [:D][:D] 0 -
