Car Got Broken Into Last Night
The police called my dad this morning and said "were you the victim of a robbery recently?" My dad answered "um, no i dont think so". Then he paused and said "wait, you know, 3 days ago when i got into my car it seemed different but I wasnt sure how". Then the police said "well, we just arrested a guy and he has your check book and some credit cards". My dad went out to his car and opened his glove box and noticed they were missing. My dad is old and sometimes forgets stuff so he was afraid to tell me earlier about his missing check book. He thought he had lost or misplaced it. I guess this morning the police arrested some guy for another offense and found alot of stuff in his car. They wouldnt tell us who he was or any other details. They came by and took a report and said a dete4ctive would contact us.

Good thing they caught the scumbag.
Had this been China, they'd have shot the thief and given you his retinas to sell on eBay to make up for the damages.0 -
i hate people who steal personal things....i hate them alot !! the value of the stuff stolen i think qualified as a misdomeanor so he will probably not serve any jail time and will be back at it soon. 0 -
Barking Dog,
I don't tolerate thieves much myself, either. There's something about that breed of human being that sets me off - they're too stupid or too lazy to earn the money to get what they want, yet somehow feel entitled to help themselves to other people's property?! To hell with that - somewhere along the line people forgot that "created equal" does not mean "stays equal". Some people, like thieves, are worthless examples of excess humanity no matter what definition you use.0
