Mosin Nagant scope mount
Going to have a local smith drill and tap one of these for a scope $65 to drill and tap two holes does this sound high? having talked to several smiths this seems like a hard gun to mount a scope on anyone hear this?

Wouldn't it just be easier to fit a scout scope on the thing? You know, those things can be fitted without actual gunsmithing... 0 -

$65.00 seem's kinda high to me. Probably because anybody with an ounce of mechanical ability can do this for themselve's. 0 -
I tried doing it once and got the holes just off enough that couldn't bring the scope onto center ran out of adjustment. Had those holes welded and buffed. No longer have drill press. It is a little harder than you think. 0
