Had this add posted on my fridge; warning to all who enter
the area kind of thing. I laughed today; Someone had
circled the mood swing area which suggested your mood could
change in 35 seconds, and wrote; "Try 15"
Some symptoms; You have mood swing, actually not mood swings,
more like mood roller coasters, mood adventure rides, mood
cornucopias. You're hot when your not hot, and cold when
your not cold. You're exhauted but can't sleep. Anxious
but don't know why. Maybe blue, maybe mad, maybe a little
less excited by things that used to get you excited and you're
pretty sure you used to get excited a lot. Happy?\Sad??? Perplexed"
all in the span of 35 seconds? Welcome to Menopause.
If you're female and under 40 chances are it's just a (temporary
rotten, lousy)phase. If you're female and 40 + chances are
your entering menopause. And if your male and reading this,
stop, and go fix something.
My poor boys and husband. It is a crazy time.....0 -
wimmin-the only thing in the world that bleeds for one week a month for 1/2 of its life. No wonder they act the way they do. 0 -
I can deal with the short-fuse just fine. That's not what drives me batty.
What drives me batty is the crying for no reason.
I dealt with that with my mom, and now my bride is starting to do that.0 -
SIGNS THAT YOU MIGHT BE EXPERIENCING MENOPAUSE
* You sell your home heating system at a yard sale. (Hot flashes)
* The person you sleep with complains about snow piling up on the bed. (Nightsweats)
* Your husband jokes that instead of buying a wood stove, he is using you to heat the family room this winter. Rather than just saying you are not amused, you shoot him. (Mood swings)
* You write post-it notes with your kid's names on them. (Memory loss)
* Your husband chirps, "Hi honey, I'm home." and you reply, "Well, if it isn't Ozzie f*cking Nelson". (Irritability)
* The phenobarbital dose that wiped out the Heaven's Gate Cult gives you four hours of decent rest. (Sleeplessness)
* You find Guacamole in your hair after a Mexican dinner. (Fatigue)
* You change your underwear after every sneeze. (Mild incontinence)
* You need Jaws Of Life to help you out of your car after returning home from an Italian restaurant. (Sudden weight gain)
* You ask Jiffy Lube to put you up on a hoist. (Dryness)
* You take a sudden interest in "Wrestlemania". (Female hormone deficiency)
* You're on so much estrogen that you take your Brownie troop on a field trip to Chippendales. (Hormone therapy)

Never trust anything that bleeds for a week but doesn't die. 0 -
Let's just be really grateful that men DON'T have to go through it.
A bigger waist size in our pants and shorts, a really good nose and ear hair trimmer, a pair of diagonal cutters for our toenails, maybe a toupe or lots of hairspray for the combover and refills of Viagra are all quick and easy store bought solutions for a lot of guys.[;)][:D]
To those of you who's significant other is going through it, hang in there. Imagine what SHE must feel like!0 -
Best way to deal with this is a change of routine. You've got the accrued vacation time, and some money available on the credit card- get thee to Mexico! Cold beer, hot beaches, walks in the moonlight, sleeping late, listening to mariachi bands. About 2 weeks should be enuff for the initial dose. But for God's sake, don't take HER along! 0 -
