JB Weld............

This stuff is GREAT! The steel in the epoxy makes for a permanant fix. I've used it twice to fix stripped out threads on my spotting scope and the shellholder on my neck turning setup.

    Well if you did not play Super man with the litle 8-40 screws on your scope mount you would not need JB weld......[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

    i saw some pictures where a guy used jb weld on the inside of his ak mag well. he JB welded 1 washer on each side to fix the mag slap.

    Working in a power plant, I can attest that JB weld will do anything a 6010 rod will do and more. It can be machined to some pretty impressive tolerances too.

    We also use Balzona. An industrial version of JB. It doesn't work any better mind you, it just comes in buckets instead of tubes.

    Amazing stuff! We fixed a 1" gap along the block on my Pops' truck's engine when my little brother left it out in the snow with no antifreeze; one smear, a little time, and no more water leaking!
    I've experimented with casting bullets out of it to shoot through an old Contender barrel, really need a concrete vibrator to get all the imperfections out, but they are fairly accurate in .223!

    I have never used the stuff but I think I am going to go buy a tube today and experiment after reading all these glowing reviews.

    i fixed a cracked water pump once worked for over a year, i know a guy who had about a ten inch crack on his sportster tranny jb welded it lasted two year till he sold it

    edit: on the evil side it works very well on/inside a lock, or very bad depends on how you look at it

    Radiator overflow catch jug-plastic. 5 yrs and holding.
    Leaky diesel tank on JD grain combine, 48"x12", 14 yrs.
    Fixed half of variable speed sheave on splined shaft, 15 yrs., and no more broken $2.00 bolts.
    Mounting holes on router table, too deep to securely fasten router to table, now works like it is supposed to.

    Hit a conrete block with tractor ... it stood up under the motor.... when the oil stops flowing I will clean it up and JB weld it.... [:D]

    I built a nuclear bomb- proof bunker out of it. Just kidding[:)] Will it stick to and seal to wet and, or, greasy engine parts?

    Fixed a hole in a gas tank in a vehicle, from where someone,(won't say who), drilled a hole through it.

    Yep - Duct Tape, WD-40 and JB-Weld. Don't leave home without them.

    I know of a guy who lost the handles off his pocket knife. He made new handles with JB Weld. I seemed to work fine and no rivets.

    And a stripped 1/4-20 tapped hole is the perfect size to tap 5/16-18... I wonder why? Must be a fluke

    5/16 wouldn't fit. Besides epoxy is cheaper than buying a tap.

    interested jb weld story. my mom asked me to take her car in to have brake pads replaced, and gave me money to cover it. I pulled her worn pads off, coated the inside with jb weld and gave the car back. pocketed 150$ and the brakes are still working 3 weeks later.
