    As I recall I had a thread go REAL high (several 1000 posts) before being poofed. It only lasted one night.

    It was "Post Just to Get Your Post Count Up" and several folks went nuts and posted time after time after time. There were a couple of guys who must have added 1000 to their post count that night.

    Also, there was "Sugar Bear." Probably the longest legitimate subject post I can remember. Never followed it but it stuck around a long time until it was finally locked. Run a search and you can see how many pages.

    I have still never figured out how those guys were hitting 100 posts a minute.

    Which dragged on for a very long time, so long that several members actually asked David to lock the thread (I think that was a first). The thread's author, who is a real prince of a guy, took great umbrage to the suggestions his baby be locked (to say the least).
