Softball players:
Season starts again this year in a couple weeks. I figure I've played with a "Cheap" glove for long enough.
I have some 25 dollar Rawlings glove that I've played with for years. It's been a fine glove, but has a tear and I play shortstop. I've taken some smoking hot line drives and grounders that HURT and work the tear a little larger each time.
I feel like going up to a nice mitt. Who has any experience with SSK, Mizuno, or Nokona gloves?
Dicks Sportinggoods has all their gloves on sale and I have a $10off coupon for there. Those SSK gloves look really nice.

Look over all of the gloves you mentioned for leather stitching around or near the pocket of the glove. Mizuno gloves that I have looked at have this. Real problem with balls sticking.
Look at Rawlings or Spaulding.
Also, I have used the same Spaulding glove since college for baseball (15+ years). It developed a tear from use and mistreatment. I took the glove to a local glove repair specialist. He repairs gloves for the local D1 baseball team and numerous small college teams in the area. He repalced the leather and re-did the stitching to tighten glove up and the charge was less than $30. The glove was as good as new and I am still using it. He guaranteed his work. I didn't have to break in (get used to) a new glove and basically had a new glove.
The glove makers you mentioned, I know the Mizuno and Nokona have been around for a while. Just look for a good fitting glove by what ever maker you choose and stay away from anything with stitching that is raised around the pocket area.0 -
I have a Spaulding "Rick Monday" glove that I have had for years. I only use it twice a year, one annual church softball game and one church picnic. 0 -

If you are going to use it for a long time, buy a nice Rawlings. I like the basket weave pockets. 0 -
Rawlings "heart of the hide" gold glove series are the best gloves going in my opinion. 0
