Red Dot for Springfield XD-40
After shooting a revolver recently that was fitted with a red dot optic I would like to try to find one that would fit on my XD-40. Is there anyone making red dot's for slide action guns? If so how are they mounting them? Costs? Performance? thanks for any help.

I dont think they exist. You can get a laser though if your XD-40 has a rail. 0 -
Try these guys:

I have used one of the original Optimas for years.
I am pretty sure the XD has the same rear sight cut as Sigs do, so the Sig mount might work.
Just noticed they have a gunsmith blank mount, so you should be able to get it cut for the XD:

J P Enterprises J Point. These replace the rear sight. Tacso Optima as well I think. The J points are nice and hold up well. You can also get scope mounts that attach to the frame and mount any standard red dot. I know they make them for Glock so they night have them for XD as well. Take a look at Brownells. www.brownells.com 0
