the movie. saw it last week, it was ok, not the funniest thing ever, but not to lame, it could have been funnier.

The 1st 4 or 5 years of the Simpsons TV show were sidesplitting IMHO..then it got too politically slanted and preachy.
Of course, Matt Groning is your typical tree-hugging Pacific NW leftist, so no surprise there...wonder it was funny at all0 -

ultimately you are probably right about Matt Groening but I do remember an episode about 4 or 5 years ago that had a very ANTI GUN CONTROL slant.0
