We've had that law in Virginia for a couple of years. There's an exception if you have a CCW permit.

MD has it too but you just need "collector" status (1 page form) and you can get more than 1.

Where do we sent our emails? I don't live in that state, but I'll send one anyway. Tell me who to sent one to. Every on one here needs to send one too. Gun control is getting out of control and we all need to step up.

Yea but I think its no more than 2 a month, or week...cant remember. But all you have to do is have your ffl hold it for you for X amount of time, And it only applies to handguns.

[8D]-California has been that way for years--

-But, if you watch your pawn shops/consignments/gunshows you can legally buy multiple handguns per month--

But, if you knowingly do that, is it legal?

CONNECTICUT EYES ONE GUN A MONTH . . . Following a public hearing held last week, proposed legislation that would ban law-abiding citizens from purchasing more than one handgun a month has been set for a final committee vote on March 8. If passed out of the Public Safety Committee, the bill, sponsored by Sens. Martin Looney (D-11) and Toni Harp (D-10), would be sent for a vote on the Senate floor. Please contact your legislators immediately and respectfully urge them to oppose SB 938.[:(!]
DO they do this to automobiles, Drugs, maybe Senators should limit themselves to one perk a month[:0]

Sounds like a "Looney" idea to me. I can just see it. A drug dealing gang banger saying "Dang it! I waz gonna go and rob that 7-11 across da' street, so as to buy sum mor' drugs, but he!! man, eyes alrady used up my "buy one gun a month" allotment and I done traded dat gun for more crack cocaine. Nows I caint get another gun so as to rob that 7-11 until next month. Dang the luck. It just ain't fair."

Don't let them go here... I have been through it here in The Peoples Republic of Massachusetts... The citizens of CT need to stand up and stop this from happening!

i think youll see the vast majority of the law is aimed at stemming flow into nyc. conn residents for the most part are so nailed down with existing rules and laws, it wouldnt make sense to limit one per month to good citizens that have ran the gauntlet, in light of the fact it already takes an act of GOD to get a permit just to purchase, let alone transport and carry one or shoot one at a public range.
and besides, the way sprawl is moving into conn, soon places to shoot will be gone...as conn becomes new york cities 6th bourogh.(joke for those that live there.) conn: aka: 'the woods.'
sad, what a rich gun state conn use to be. now, nothing more than a puppet state to new york.
    i can talk....06483.

I read that a similar bill was written for Indiana but that it won't get far.

Can anyone give me ANY kind of argument in favor of this bill from the dems side. I can think of absolutely nothing this would accomplish except CONTROL the law abiding..........probably there plan anyway.

I live in CT. I watched the taped hearing on tv. Looney explained that if citizens were allowed only one gun per month, "...there would less guns for criminals to steal."

I'm not making that up - the clown actually said it. There were plenty of rolling eyes afterwards, even among dems on the panel.

The panel heard from only two citizens who took the pro-legislation position (one kid who appeared to be high on something) and 25 speakers from the opposition. Wish I'd known about it in advance. Coulda made it 26.

Right. And if you limit everyone to one 6 pack per month, you will have fewer DUI's.

And one ballpoint pen per month and have fewer forgers.

And one knife per month you will have fewer stabbings.

And do pack of cigarettes per month and fewer cases of lung cancer.

And limit everyone to only carry no more than $50.00 in cash so there will be fewer dollars for the robbers to steal from you.

What people like Looney really want to say is that if they llimit lawful citizens to ZERO guns per month, then the violent criminals will suddenly no longer have any guns to use to rob, kill, rape and kidnap lawful citizens with.
