Ruger 77/22
Anyone have one of these in a 22 Mag? I know there are rumors that the centerfire rugers are not that accurate, but what about the rimfire 77s?
Got a chance to buy one off a young man that is laminated with the stainless heavy barrel...very clean rifle.

Never owned a 77/22. But, I own a few M77's and I will say the rumors of them being inacurrate are just that.......rumors. Probably started by someone who didn't own one. Or, who couldn't shoot straight. [:)][:)][}:)][}:)] They are as accurate as any other rifle and as accurate as the shooter.......

I've got this one in 22mag with a Leupold Vari-X II that has become my main varmint eraser.
The trigger probably could be improved, but It's fine for my uses.

I've got one and I love it.
Accurate and fun to shoot.
I think the accuracy issues with ruger 77's tend to be the wood stocked ones and those are only because they are not free floated from the factory. Many wood stocked Rugers can be made to shoot MOA with some minor sanding in the barrel channel.0 -
Trigger s need a little work, but the easy way is a Rifle Basiz trigger.Takes about 20 min to install. 0
