Most people who live in Texas were not raised there. There is a huge % of people who have moved there from the east coast. My Dad's people are from just south east of Houston they were/are all hunters. Just about all of the people he grew up with were/are hunters.

pictures while I was skinning this deer in town today. She could not believe I was actually skinning out this deer to process it. She was from Houston TX. She even wanted her picture taken with the deer...said her friends would never believe her otherwise. I told her that there were hunters in TX too...I don't think she believed me[:D]. I guess she's not used to seeing someone skin out an animal in a store parking lot right in the middle of town...[:)]

Hell, I'm not used to seeing it in a town store parking lot! Where's the water hose?

No real need for a hose...if you skin it right, you shouldn't get any hair on the meat.

    BTW...this is a small town[;)][:)]

    It's Butte, Montana; fall 1987.

About freaked when a town's local lugged this deer carcass for butchering right past next to me while I stood in line at the local grocery store.

"Last week it was snow, now a dead large four legged critter. Oh, the humanity!!!"

I am/was a surfer dude/city slicker transplanted by the United States Navy into Big Sky Country late 1986.
