need info on a sword w/pic.

Ok i have a sword I dont know anything about so if anyone knows what i have Please let me know [:D][:D]
I have a few pic. and the only thing i can find on it is the #s 94098 it also clips into the holder or whatever you call it [;)]
its real nice looking ,kinda cool. ok i did find some kind symbols
it looks like it may be a jap sword ????

  Japanese Meiji era calvary sword. 1890's maybe. Well made machine made blade. Iron fittings. In no way considered a Samurai or traditional Japanese blade. Not very valuable. I had one once for about a month. Got rid of it since it didn't really fit in with the others.

  I know nothing about this except what is in this thread. I'm thinkin' anything military pre-1900 will be very valuable to collectors eventually.
