    To be correct it must be a 1943 or later model 91/30 with a rounded reciever!

    with all the variants, go with the original. the 91/30 was the variant used for that specific purpose during WWII.

    newer non corrosive can be bought at just about any gun shop. check your local guys.

    but be sure you know what you're doing. The standard bolt is a straight bolt and would have to be replaced or modified. Drilling and tapping the receiver can be dicey if you don't have the tools or expertise, too.

    If you have a C+R you can do better on price. Check out SOG- I think they are like $325-$350. Not too sure. Be sure to check out the movie "Enemy at the Gates". They have the same type of rifles in the movie.
