Mosin Nagant Experts please advise...
I am interested in getting a mosin nagant and making a WW2 sniper rifle clone. I see a few different models of rifle, which ones are the best. I have seen a short version and a longer 91/30 version.

To be correct it must be a 1943 or later model 91/30 with a rounded reciever! 0 -
with all the variants, go with the original. the 91/30 was the variant used for that specific purpose during WWII. 0 -

but be sure you know what you're doing. The standard bolt is a straight bolt and would have to be replaced or modified. Drilling and tapping the receiver can be dicey if you don't have the tools or expertise, too.0 -

If you have a C+R you can do better on price. Check out SOG- I think they are like $325-$350. Not too sure. Be sure to check out the movie "Enemy at the Gates". They have the same type of rifles in the movie. 0 -
