I just got done shooting up the exact same can of ammo.
I didn't know it was steel core though or I would have sold it.

I have a case of that stuff. The bullets attract a magnet, but Iam not sure its steel core, maybe a bi-metal jacket.

This ammo has always been considered steel core AFAIK.
The law of Demand and Supply is the issue here on price. Supply (in the U.S.) is limited, therefore the price goes up.0
