    I believe you're right. I havent been looking at lever rifles, but there is a lot of activity on almost anything semi.

    It is just the time of year to find deals.
    There are a few times a year where the deals are more common and a few times a year when it would be better to save your money.

    Watched a guy at a pawn shop yesterday buy 2 top eject Wichester .30-30s, that were in "good" condition for $340.

    I've been looking at a straight stocked 1972 Marlin 336 .30-30 in very good condition for $150.

    No sales tax and an $11 transfer fee.

    Your right, but most of these guns arent to high priced brand new, and theres alot out in the market, and demand is low, thus low prices.

    No downturn in the market here in the STL.
    Winchesters start at 350.00
    Marlins start at 275.00

    I've been high bidder on that one for more than 24 hours now.

    If I get it for what I've bid I can come out ahead on it when it becomes generally known that Indiana will allow .44 rifles this coming season.
