Vent rib added to a handgun?

    At one time it was considered an asset in fast sight acquisition I
    believe. That and it gave a Colt Python look to more humble firearms.

    I put one of those on a Colt Peacemaker .22 revolver once. They are simply glued on and can be removed if desired. I thougt it looked cool and added some snap to the Colt. Everyone that saw it wanted to know what it was.

    P.S. I found the whole kit and caboodle in a bargain bin in a gun store in Fort Worth, Texas. I think I gave five dollars for it.
