Wow, what a relief. I still haven't figured out how I'm gonna find the $300 in the budget for the Marlin.

Sure feeling down. My wife lost her job in October---no success in finding another, yet. Kitchen stove (17yo) went out and had to purchase a new one. Now, I finished our income tax yesterday and we owe over $2k more than what we already had paid.
Thank the Lord we had some savings; but, it won't last for long.
I know I shouldn't feel the way I do when there are lots of families in worst shape than we're in.0 -
My daughters husband split right after his second child was born. He has seen her twice in 3 or 4 years. My daughter lets her family see Lauren some.
I pick up my grad son most days after school. Yesterday she asked me to pick up Lauren on the way home. I stopped by her Aunts house to pick Lauren up and they told me i cant have her. I called my daughter and she told me to take her anyway.
I told the lady she was going with me so they called the law. I just walked outside to wait for them in my truck.
Then she walked outside and cussed me up down sideways and in a circle. After about 10 minuets i told her Mamm i am 48 and i have never hit a women but if you cuss at me 1 more time i am going to do my beast to break your jaw.
You guessed it that was the first thing she told the cop. After being there about 5 minuets the cop told me i dont know how you did not hit here. About 5 minuets later my daughter got there and we just took her and left.0 -
Went to a doc in the box for loss of hearing to the right ear.
220 over 120 blood pressure.
Stop,do not pass go.
Go to ER or a primary care right away she said.
So I went.
I asked the second woman not to put her breast against me while checking my blood pressure,that alone helped to drop it by 31.[:I]
They gave me something to drop my blood pressure and I waited for it to come down before checking out my ear.
Gotta do a lung xray,bloodwork and an EKG as soon as I can get an appointment.They are gonna look into my organs etc.
Got a script for a diraretic/pressure pill.
All the men on my dad's side have passed early due to cancer,guess it just runs in my genes.
Anywho,prayers if ya got em please.
I would welcome a dirt nap but the wife,two daughters and grandsons need me.....i think.[:)]

well had to replace the starter Solenoid then the starter goes out [B)] thats 268 bucks [xx(], then I have a flat on the rear tire of the 5600 well they put a new tube and boot 100 bucks and ill be damed if it does not split on the side this afternoon. Did find a good used one for 250 new runs 520.00 anyways to top it all off I make it to work and the wife calls me and says the mower will only cut with one blade so im guessing two Spindle Assy. are in order now for a big old 100 dollar bill [:(!].
but hey on the bright side I did get over 8" of rain this past week on the hay meadow [:p]

I am worried about a spot on my lungs and waiting for my cat scan.Then today Storm my 13 year old black lab got out of the fence in the back yard and got ran over. She has a open compound fracture in her left front leg. Will talk to a surgeon tomorrow and see what they say about fixing it. She is in the vet hospital over night. When i left she was drooling. She is on morphine so she is happy happy happy.
Too make things worse my youngest son 23 is acting like a 375 pound b####. I have never raised my voice at any of the kids but for the last 5 days he has been disrespectful as could be. I told his mom today at lunch if he does it again either he goes or i go. Either that or i am going to hurt him. She talked to him so we will see.
He is 23 and lives at home and pays no bills at all. He will not even take out the trash. I left home at 18 joined the Air Force was married with a kid by 23. I am about to lose it.0 -

That was the whole point of the thread. If I had won the auction for $59, that's great, but I really didn't expect to win that Marlin] yesterday - my nephew's kids will have to wait on beginner's gun (the oldest one is only 5 now, anyway)
