I bought a few cans of this same ammo a few months ago for $50 a piece. It's crazy how much prices have gone up

I did... a few cans was all they had, I have 2 left now, decent ammo except it's corrosive.
At the same time I got some yugo surplus -- much better ammo, wish I could find more of that stuff.0 -
Nearly 200 bucks for 500 rounds of old, corrosive ammo. Ummm... am I missing something? 0 -
I bought 1000 rounds of Wolf at the HB gunshow in March for $159!!!
Cheapest Ive seen it now is Ammoman.com $199 for a box of 1000
Golden Tiger non corrosive is $179 at Ammoman0 -
Hey, if someone's stupid enough to pay couple of hundred bucks for surplus junk -- let'em! Good for Henry, just don't give them, genius bidders, any ideas that they can find better ammo some place else cheaper [:p] 0 -

It's called The Law of Demand and Supply this particular military surplus ammo is no longer imported - the supply in the U.S. is limited, ergo the more of it that is expended for fun, the less of it there is to "save for a rainy day" and the price goes up.0 -

I am pretty content with Wolf or Tiger or whatever else ex-commies put out in that caliber for the rainy day, I don't see how chinese surplus is twice as good as military grade Wolf. Or is there something I don't know?0 -

I'm not familiar with the "military grade" Wolf, but it is my understanding that no steel core 7.62x39 has been imported in many years.0 -

Well if its steel core then that changes things. I can understand the price if its true AP... people seem to go nuts over AP for some reason. [?]0 -
for good priced 7.62 ammo theres a web site called www.jgsales.com they have wolf ammo for 189 for a 1000 rounds... 0 -
Steel cored 7.62x39 is NOT AP ammo. 0 -

This particular ammo is widely considered to be AP. I don't necessarily make that claim.
edit = funny that I can edit this but not the original post....
anyway only minutes remain. If you were going to "snipe" this one, now is the time to act.0
