How often do you Shoot??
As i cruise the forums reading the topics and postings of other GB members I often wonder just how often do GB people really shoot. There is alot of talk about shooting. but do we shoot as much as we talk?
I shoot 2-4 times a week every week.
Wedensday night I shoot trap 2-4 sometimes 6 rounds of 25
Friday Night I shoot Bullseye. 90 rnds of either 22lr or centerfire
pistol 380 or bigger.
Saturday and Sunday Mornings the club offers skeet,
I ussually shoot one if not both days min. of 2rnds if not 4 rounds per day.
All in all i prolly average 300 rnds a week. 1200 rounds a month

I shoot once a year to make sure my scope is still on target.[:o)] 0 -
I get over to the Gun Club & Range almost daily, and I usually two or three times a week ... and occasionally shoot only once ... bad week! 0 -
some of you guys must be retired, single or both!!! I don't have enough time to go everyday. The wife and a 2 yr old won't let me[;)] I'm lucky to get out once a week. Will start doing skeet and sporting clays again when it gets cooler...wife enjoys that too. 0 -
It probably averages to once a week. Ammo and gas costs aren't much of a factor -- I shoot primarily black powder and .22 rifles, and my "range" is either a friend's property or the facilities at the NMLRA range at Friendship, both roughly six miles away. Before the divorce I bought a case of 3F, a friend casts roundball for both our uses, and a brick of .22LR is something I just make myself find the money for, when the time comes. My problem is time -- also since the divorce, my regular job pays roughly 3/4 of my expenses. What most would consider their "free time" is spent doing odd jobs for various people in the area. No complaints -- I look at it as God helping me because I'm willing to help myself -- but it does cut into the time I spend burning powder.
Shooting, for me, isn't quite the "leisure" activity envisioned by some, particularly those who'd like to deny me the means to do so. Deer border on being a nuisance animal in SE Indiana, and I like to eat meat. $25.00 for a buck tag, $25.00 for the first doe tag, $18.00 a pop for the next seven doe tags you can legally buy in just this country, makes deer hunting almost a necessity, in economic terms. Gotta be able to shoot well to kill cleanly, which any hunter owes his prey. Gotta practice to be able to shoot well. So, gotta shoot.... I do love being able to rationalize that so easily!0 -
Once a week. 250 rounds of 9mm, 100 rounds of .45, and a brick of 22. 0 -
