i personally can't see the purpose of cremating or stuffing a pet, no matter how loyal or beloved it may have been alive.... once it's dead it's dead, not trying to be an a$$ about peoples feelings or pets but that's just how i see it. All mine that i lost when i was a kid got a hole dug in the woods for them... 0 -

Our friends are buried in the back yard. Some of our pets are too.

.. hmmmm, sounds like 'traditional Italian,' to me.
... any family still in Sicily?

it would be more honorable to bury it, and make a headstone
That's what I did when my best companion passed...buried in
the front yard with a monument. Dad did it for me, no way could I
have done it, and he knew it.0 -
remember Roy Rodgers and Trigger.
He had trigger stuffed.0 -
Yes, I wouldn't. Although I did dine on the carcass of my last one... 0 -

In short, most know my beloved dog passed away suddenly. While I was looking at some Urns for his ashes.
I discovered some places will stuff your pet, IE taxidermy. Isn't that a little over the edge?
Would you do it? I don't think I could handle that.
Roy Rogers did it to trigger

And evidently this is the horse that Stonewall Jackson was shot off of in 1863 still looking good almost a century and a half later...

This is "Bixby", just couldn't bear to part with him. He sits directly to my right on the end table beside my chair. Was/is a good dog.
This was another one of the taxidermists ideas, just seemed a little impersonal.

We have a pet cemetery at the base of one of our huge oaks. It has a fairly large population of one horse, four dogs, seven cats, 5 or 6 birds, and a whole bunch of pet fish.
I think our county allows people to be interred on their farmland, and if it's legal, I'm going to spend eternity with my buddies.
