I have a winner, but first I want to thank all the entries and the folks for the congrats and kind words. And I had my wife the Sergeant Major, draw a name and she picked Matwor out of the hat, so Matwor if you will drop me a email we can get the transfer going. Yes, I finally did it! Check out my post count, and now I'm starting to feel like a veteran poster around here. Since you all have been great to me since the beginning, I have decided to give away a gun. It's nothing fancy, but it's new. I've had this gun listed in my auctions for quite some time. I get quite a few lookers, but no takers. This is a gun I ordered for someone, who wanted it for a kid, but the deal fell through. That'll learn me not to get the money first. [:D] Anyhow, here it is. It is a H&R Pardner 20ga single-shot shotgun. Here is a link to the auction side so you can view the gun:

Now for the rules:

1. This gun must be sent to a FFL, so make sure you have one lined up before you put your name in the hat.

2. You must have at least 250 post, and you can't be a troll.

3. You must specify why you need this gun.

4. You must post a photo of you holding this gun if you are a winner.

5. I'll stop taking entries Saturday noon central time, and will announce a winner Saturday night the 25th of August.

    Great give away. Likemhot jrs. Uncle bought him one a few years back, complete with a .223 barrel. He's shot everything from 300 lb hogs, to javalinas. That gun is gonna make someone real happy. Congrats on your milestone. We will regretfully decline putting our name in the hat, give another youngun' a chance.

    Please put me in for the give away. My 2 boys have just talked me in to trying turkey hunting. We don't have a shotgun to use. This would make a nice starter and give us a chance to learn to shoot turkey.

    Great Giveaway Sarge, I have been thinking about picking up a blued long barrel just like that for quite some time. I have a pardner survival with a 20 in and nickel reciever but it just doesnt work well for those trips to hunt rabbits or dove. This one would work perfect for that. Thank you for the oppertunity.

    The reason?...

    He teaches the 4H kids trap shooting at the club, and a lot of parents cant afford a gun for the kids ...they cant even afford the shells...(Classic and another member have a shotmaker, they take care of the shells for the kids)....The club has given shotguns to a few of the kids who are in the programme..(yes they shoot for free) and Classic has already given a shotgun to a boy in the group...

    If Classics name is drawn the gun would be given to a young boy or girl in the 4H programme...

    5 of our kids made it into the state finals and they sent a special invitation to Classic and myself to attend....We did (a long drive and a longer day) but is was so very enjoyable...They even phoned when Classic was under the weather wanting to know how he was ....

    I have a niece and a grandson that I'm teaching to shoot, so far just .22's, but bird season is just around the corner, and that little gun would fit the bill perfectly.
