Nah, no worries. All the Canadian coins I obtain go into the nearest vending machine or the first blind newspaper vendor I run into.

Just think if you 'keistered' them. What will the "rfd's" tell them then? [:D]

No news really:....... I heard wally mart has chipped some of the clothing and rugs they sell to actually see how much peolpe use them and and some more scary stuff.

They also have "rfd's" now operating in the warehouse to instantly scan the cargo to eliminiate even more jobs. [V]

RFID is short range. that would make no sense. perhaps it's only the spooks that figured it out, the coins are actually pervasive in canada, and some percentage of the population has them.

RFID may be a short range passive transmitter, but the readers can send that data over 450'; longer ranges are possible with a receiver coupled to a small Doritos can yagi-uda antenna.

There was a short item on the local news about some Canadian coing having been fitted with a tiny tracing device. Apparently it is only good for short distances. Canadian border is about 1 mile from our house.

Where's the logic in a spy putting a tracking device inside something that's intended to be passed on to unknown persons?

    I can explain that-
Its a nation wide study. Through RFID technology and Thermal satellite imagery. The government can determine if you remove your coinage before, during, or after you do your laundry.[:o)][:D]
