XD-40 frame texturizing (Pics)

Anyone have this done to theirs? Mine has it and it sticks to your hand like velcro. I havent seen one other like mine. I bought mine used and just learned today that it is a $175 option from Springfeild. I got a good of a deal on this one.

    A friend of mine has a Glock competition pistol he competes with that has almost the same grips. He took and hand drilled it a couple billion times to get that look. I can't say it's my taste, but it does grip better.

    That's ugly! I love the XD's, but that thing looks funky...it all comes down to functionality though...

    Thats exactly it. It functions great and doesnt slip in your hand. This increases accuracy. As for asthetics, it looks better in real life but is in no way a flashy gun.quote:Originally posted by Cutiegirlracing

    Looks like someone took a soldering iron to it[:D]
    Think it would look better if it were black instead of the green.

    Looks like someone worked it over with a needle hammer used for removing slag from welds. I have seen this done to glocks but with a different method and results. Same principle though.
