Well it would be Political Correct to say that he is entitled to his opinion.

But you know me I'm kinda old fashion and if he lived within driving distance I would invite him out to the woodshed to meet Mr. Oakbranch, and Mr. Hickoryhandle.

When we were done having a polite discussion, I would even call 911 for him. Just to show what a nice person I am.

That E-mail is disrespectful and un-American. It is ok to not support the war, but to not support our soilders and their families is treasonous.[:(!]

Please tell us who it was, so we can write to him, expressing our possible disagreement.

Wow. Even if somebody thought that, I'm shocked they would take the time to write a letter about it and send it to you personally. That takes some nerve. Completely tactless.

Whether you're for or against it, nobody has the right to do that. You don't deserve that.

    That's a grade A, first class A-hole.

This was received as the result of postings I placed on a We Support the Troops thread on Yahoo....
I don't think I have his e-mail anymore but he was from Colunbus Ohio, And I did invite the dude out for a drink or two. An offer he wisely turned down.... A couple of other users on yahoo MB's received e-mails like this as well...
Doesn't really matter too much to me...Nothing any clown like this can say will ever take away one ounce of pride I have for my son and someday when I grow up I hope I'm just like him.....Good dad or bad dad I have a great son...And that is more than enough success as a parent to keep me happy till the day I die....

why do liberals think that parents force their kids into war ? why cant liberals understand that soliders in america's military joined voluntarily ? that whole non sense about "if you support the war then send your own kid" is almost as pathetic as it is scary. are liberals that dumb ?

People like that go thru life with blinders on. Very little one can do to change them. Although the wood shed idea mentioned by Alpine has some merit.

    tobefree,

on behalf of columbus ohio....i'm so so so sorry.
i have been here for about 7 years and have met very few people like that. most people here support our troops and the job they do to protect us from harm. many send letters and care packages, some provide money, many pray. some, like me, have even shook the hands of our troops and bought their lunches when we see them out. the person who said those things to you should definitely have a meeting with a large man with a sample of lousvilles finest in a dark alley.

This is representative of the typical, everyday communication spouted via several different channels, by the Vietnam era Anti-Americans, aka Hanoi Jane and John TCL Kerry crowd. Telephone calls to the mothers and wives of military personnel wishing them, and their children, and husbands dead is a big part of their MO. Selling America out in other ways is typical as well. They hate traditional Americans and the American way of life.

Nobody seems to remember, that,........Freedom is not free!
It costs a lot of money, and more importantly,.......it costs human lives.
I still believe that a portion of the populace thinks it is a worthwhile endeavour, at least, I hope![;)]

    I received this E-mail....

This is the actual message to me 11-17-2004.

You have a son in the Army? I suppose at this juncture it would be politically correct for me to say I wish him luck or some other clap trap but ya know something? I'm sick of bs so I'll spell it out loud and clear.

You have FAILED as a parent - plain and simple. I have 2 sons and guess what? The ONLY way either one of them would serve would be over my DEAD f**king body!

Your son and the other one you mentioned are going there for ONE reason and ONLY ONE reason - to fight for Halliburton.

Well, all I gotta say is good luck sucker because I own 2 oil drilling stocks and will be making a bundle just like all the other rich republicans who laugh at aholes like you.

So wave your silly flag and shed your friggen tears over the holidays. I'm gonna be enjoying mine with my ENTIRE family at home with me. You see a winner looks out for his own and a loser, like you, gives up his own for patriotic oatmeal that is meaningless. Years from now no one will give a rat's ass about your son or anyone else's ever serving overseas.

That's a reality check - I know I'm gonna catch hell for it but I really don't care. Bush getting back in told me all I need to know about aholes like you and your mindset. You're willing to sacrifice human beings on the altar of human greed - go for it.

Unbelievable! This scum bag does not deserve the air he's breathing...let alone the PRIVELEDGE of living in America.[:(!]

I wish upon the writer of that email will soon be given the opportunity to use one of those parking spots that are reserved nearest the door of most businesses and public places for the rest of his obviously miserable life.

not to worry, nunn, sooner or later you will. everything is on such an accelerated cycle right now that decades of other societies decay only takes a few years now, though the decay of the US started way back when.

Those particular Yahoo Forums were deleted when they revamped a few years back!

The only reason I still have that message is because I copied the text to MS word (and must have hit save) to show a guy at work who is a Nam vet that the jerks are still amoung us!!!
I actually printed it on card stock and had it hanging up at work for a few months... I really can't say why... To be honest I don't know if I completely grasp whether this was serious or just some poor attempt at being funny!!! I will say this... This message haunted me the entire time my son was in harms way... For it is all to obvious to me that we are at least in some way a product of our enviorment! So I reckon I did have a little to do with the boy ending up in Iraq!!! Not nearly as much as Saddam did though, and for that I am glad he is dead. And for both America's and Iraq's fallen Heros I trully hope Saddam burns for a long long time. As for the author of that message, well I pray the idiot never sees a day when we are no longer a free nation and his words come back to haunt him!!!!
