Gourmet burgers. Just got through cleaning the grill. Gotta go to the store and then the grillin' begins. I called my brother in law just to rag him about the race. He came down and saw my big screen and said he was going to come watch the race but he had to work.

Got some riblets that I'm going to throw on the grill this afternoon. Homemade sauce to slather on them. As they cook, corn on the cob will be on the top rack, then get a couple of minutes on the bottom when the ribs are done. Also have some asparagus spears that will get a light coating of olive oil and a light sprinkling of kosher salt that will be cooked for a few minutes on the hot coals. Then some thick slices of vidalia onion with the same olive oil-salt treatment that I will throw on. For desert come chocolate chip cookie-banana smores also grilled. These are really good. Take a big (homemade preferably) cookie, top it with little marshmallows, chocolate chips, a slice of banana, and some graham cracker crumbs, top with another cookie. Wrap in foil and toss on the grill until the chips and mallows melt. [:p] Dang...I'm getting hungry now!
