Assault Firearm suggestion?

I am not an expert, just an idiot. I think the last ban was a complete failure. Time has proven it. If there is to be another,I suspect they have "learned" from their past "mistakes". The AK and AR will be illegal. All that's out there, pre-post whatever.

If I am wrong, which I hope to be, clips might be the best return on investment. If the 30 round clip isn't all out banned, it will sold at a premium. They are not going to get any cheaper than now, and even at a post ban premium, they will still sell.

Again, I am just an idiot. I even think the Chicago Bears will win. I believe the Superbowl will merely be the pregame show for the Cubs winning the World Series.

AK-47, when you hear someone say assault rifle you almost automatically think AK-47.

AK, FAL, Galil, G3 kits. Recievers and mags aplenty for the same.

Personally, I just picked up 10 mags for AR15s (don't own one), 10 AK mags (don't own one), and 10 more FAL mags (own one, already had "enough" mags for me). Based on how I did with hi-cap Glock mags during the first ban, I may have fund for a nice family vacation.

    Mini-14 and Mini-30.

Mossberg 500 with a folding stock.

    Any "black" gun.

Now, here's a more interesting question. WTH is an "assault" firearm?

All pistols will become "Law Enforcement/Government Use Only" and the only thing that the average Joe will still be able to buy is a bolt action .22 rifle with a 5 shot capacity.

Woah woah woah there, 5 shots, that seems a little excessive. You dont "NEED" anything more than a single shot. All those "extra" shots cause people to go on shooting rampages dontcha know.

As I am sure this topic has probably been discussed before but I am interested in new opinions. With the Democrats having majority of the Senate and Congress and with Hillary staking her claim for presidency, it is (in my opinion) only a matter of time before some knucklehead decides that we need to have another weapons ban. So here is my question! What do you think would be a good weapon worth buying that will possibly make the ban list? It does not necessarily need to be an assault type of weapon. Anything that you think would make the list and that I should purchase now before it makes the next list.

In red above. You might as well go all the way in helping the anti-gunners demonize certain types of FIREARMS. Why not just add the word "evil" in front of "assault type weapon" and then you (and others) will have made it that much easier for the anti-gunners to go on the floor of congress lobbying for a law to remove all those "evil assault type of weapons" from gun owners.

They may try to restrict the sale of Ammo too. Buy a pallet of ammo.

Yeah, I am sure the gun banners learned a lot over the last 10 or so years from the Clinton "assault weapons" ban. This time around there will be no grandfathers clause and regardless of how long you have owned your "assault weapon", folding stock, hi-cap mag, etc. they all will have to go.

Maybe when it is too late, at least half of the nation's 84 million gun owners will wake up and finally join forces (what a tremendous force 42 million gun owners would be) and finally start all working together to save our gun rights.

But as I said, then it would be too late.

Probably won't work. As I said, the gun banners have gotten smarter. They will probably retroactively (as with the domestic violence rule) rule that you cannot possess more than 1,000 rounds without an inspection and a permit.

    That's right.

First of all, nobody wants to take away anyone's hunting gun. So, if you're really a proficient hunter, a single shot .22 is all you need. Anything else is just overkill, and you stand a far greater chance of killing innocent people.

I think they understand the political third rail of touching another gun ban anytime soon. They may have a slight majority but a lot of the Democrats that were elected were moderate Democrats with moderate constituencies. I wouldn't bet on another 1994-esque ban.

They'll get smarter. They'll start demanding taxes on ammo or limiting certain features that will make it a pain to be a hunter or shooter of certain kinds of firearms. I think they'll leave the guns in existence. I think they'll work on getting the nose of the camel in the tent first. Maybe they're up to the neck by now.

If your ammo and/or guns are buried you almost might as well not have them. What good will they do for you unless a shooting revolution starts?

I just got me a Carbon 15 and a couple 30 round mags for it. I do agree however that a ban will more likely be on ammo. If you cant get ammo doesnt matter how many mags you have.

I think the term "Assault Firearm" should be band and renamed "Homeland Defense Rifle" This would throw the media in a tizzy for the meaning.[:D]

BTW I live in CA and this is on the "my next buy list" 408Caliber.jpg
