Fred Thompson in Presidential Poll - VOTE
Fred Thompson announced today on Fox News that he has a type of lymphoma cancer. He is doing just fine and has no side effects from it. He announced this, because he is seriously thinking about running for president of these United States, and wanted to be the first to tell this to the American people. He has had it for three years, and puts in 14 hour work days, plus works out three days each week. His type is not very aggressive as compared to many other types, and it is obviously in remission. He said that he would not run for president if the support is not there. I like the guy's style myself. Here's a recent poll that is ongoing right now and being updated every 15 minutes. I'm sure the actual numbers would be even higher but a lot of people like me don't want to enter our personal info just to vote. Fred's got my vote if he runs. I think he will if he can keep his cancer in check. Cheney's had a bad heart for a long time but he's still hanging in there.0 -

He's an old Alabama boy, Rogue. From around Sheffield, up by the Tennessee line in Colbert County, near the banks of the Tennessee River. His family moved north into TN, not far from his hometown in Alabama. 0 -

Yes, my vote will go to Fred Thompson if he will run. So he has cancer in remission, remember FDR had polio and even was elected for a third
term during ww 2. At least Fred is a good actor,is for gun rights, Illegals to be deported , and many true American beliefs. Sure would be a good change from what we had lately. And how about Tom Cancredo for vice president while we are at it. This clown we have in now sure lost his "so called Republican" status and is in Mexico's hip pocket.0 -
I really like the Tancredo bit, too, Joe. I was talking with the wife today, and we decided not to send Tom Tancredo's campaign anymore money, since we believe that Fred has the better chance to get to the big money and win this election. Given this line of thought, we will be sending future donations to Fred, providing he runs. Tandcredo, on such a ticket would seem to be a very good move, too.
Bush did show his colors with his turn against the typical Americans in favor of the illegal aliens, not a swift move according to John Q. Public. He has, without a doubt, turned off millions of would be republican voters with this move; the very ones who put him in office. Maybe a Fred Thompson-Tom Tancredo ticket could do wonders for America in unscrewing a great many social and economic ills that threaten our very sovereignty. It surely seems that only miracles will straighten this mess out.0 -
O'bama takes the lead. Edwards was winning this morning.
Newt and Thompson are cleaning up. Really it's Thompson. I suspect Thompson is getting some of the unknown support. People are projecting him to be what they want from a conservative/ Opinions will change once he opens his mouth and states his opinions.
As for me, I am actually undecided for once. I will vote for the conservative. NOT GIULIANI. NOT MCCAIN. At least for the primaries.0 -

But if it comes down to having to run a RINO in the election to beat Hillary/Obama, draft Colin Powell. I think he would demolish anybody including Obama. Obama looks like a child in comparison.0 -

Me bad. I just noticed the same thing. O'bama is behind Edwards. This surprised me when I first saw it, but it makes sense. Mrs. CLinton and O'bama are NOVELTY CANDIDATES.
I suspect this straw poll might be very accurate on the democrat side. Hillary and O'bama might be seen as light weights compared to Edwards. Plus, Edwards is not playing a minority card. Many actual democrat VOTERS might perceive him as the legitimate candidate.
I wish Hairy was here. I would actually be curious of his opinion.
I doubt the mainstream media has made this observation yet. They are not giving Edwards enough consideration.
BTW, I would never vote for any of these democrats. McCain and Rudy are as close to a democrat I can handle.0 -

Edwards is a bit of a surprise, indeed. Might this be due, in part, to folks who are simply turned off by both Hillary and OBama, many of whom, might swing back to the GOP if Fred Thompson decides to run. I'll tell you the truth, I don't like Edwards, but if I had to choose among him, Hillary, and OBama, I'd go with him - Is that a sick dilemma, or what?0 -

I think the republicans, those who are known to be in the hip pockets of scoundrels and criminals, doubt that Fred Thompson can win. I think they doubt that he can get the money to finance his campaign. I think they want a known quantity to head up the republican ticket who will support the Lincoln cultists, by snowing folks like John McCain has done with his doublespeak.
No way in hell could I vote for a Hillary or OBama like individual, and that includes their dyed in the wool GOP counterparts like McCain, all of whom the Lincoln Cultists and big money want to see in office, because they will dance to the fiddle in a heartbeat where issues involving morals, values, and common sense are concerned. These politicians are sneaky ^%%^%^. Take John McCain for example. Old John McCain was doing really well in this campaign, until a video was shown wherein he called the Confederate Flag a symbol of cowardice. That video finished that sorry %^&%, and for good reason. And, if anyone picks him as a VP, they will most likely be history, too.0 -
