The plan here is too dry up the middle east and run OPEC out of oil then we will be left holding all the cards. problem is the we might not last long enough

Utah has been refining it's own oil for yrs, mostly for northern utah.
Most of the oil reserves where given to the Ute indians when the goverment created the reservation.

My dad did alot of oil exploration out in the utah oil fields back in the late 70's early 80's. They found mostly yellow crude which by my understanding is far better than black crude and will yield more finished product gallon for gallon.

We've known of this for many years, and have let the revisionist forces of evil lead us away from our true path.

Duh. The oil companies are NOT going to do this, and make LESS money. Why do you think they don't build more refineries? So they can make LESS money? Duh................not going to happen.

Quite possibly true, however, it takes approximately 30 years, due to the necessity for geological surveys, ecological evaluations, (which are necessary), plus a crapload of other governmental red tape, to get to the point where the actual drilling can occur.

    Maybe out kids will benefit...

Foreign oil is much cheaper. Cheaper crude = more profit! It costs less to transport it to here than it would to tap it here. When the OPEC oil dries up, watch how fast the US oil companies tap the resources here.

If I recall, Oil Shale is very expensive to refine into crude oil.
