Firefighter Position
FIRE FIGHTER EXAMINATION
The Firefighter's and Police Officer's Civil Service Commission of Greenville, Texas announces the examination for Entry Level FIRE FIGHTER positions with the Greenville Fire Department.
The test will be given Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 6:30 P.M. at the City of Greenville Civic Center, 5501 South US Hwy 69, in Greenville, Texas.
Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and have not yet reached the age of thirty-six (36), possess a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, no prior felony convictions, vision must be a minimum binocular 20/200 corrected to 20/20.
Applicants must be either; (1) currently certified for structural fire fighting duty by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education, or (2) certifiable for structural fire fighting duty by the Commission by virtue of having completed a Commission approved basic firefighter training program, or at the date of testing is enrolled in a Commission approved basic fire fighter training program, and can be fully certified by the State Commission as a structural fire fighter within one month of the hire date. Applicants also will be required to possess Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification acceptable to the Texas Commission on Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education.

Starting Salary: Certified $2,864/month, Does that include meals? We had to pay for ours. Think it was $9.50 per- and it was deducted from your check.0
