Paychecks from the Navy
To answer the question, "Do the Marines get their paychecks from the Navy?"
No, we don't. We get a direct deposit from DFAS Kansas City, which last time I checked stands for Defense Finance and Accounting Service. Why that matters, I can't figure.

My Retirement check used to come from DFAS Cleveland, then it moved, and then moved again. Hell I dont know where it comes from now as they dont send a statement out anymore unless there is a change in it..

Classic, if you need to, you can find out which DFAS office number to call by accessing myPay at:
https://mypay.dfas.mil/mypay.aspx
However, it doesn't list where the DFAS office is located, only the contact number. I believe that Army Retirees are currently being handled through DFAS Indianapolis, though I don't know for sure.0
