Boy, I knew Lake Tahoe was short on snow

Love the place! This just outside the hotel room that I stay at. Sad part is a bunch of the little Mom and Pop shops along the main drag @ state line are giving way to new multi million $ condos. 0 -

I had relatives living on the Nevada side near Zephyr cove. I used to do a lot of scuba diving in Tahoe.
On one dive I had one of the stern wheelers, the M.S. Dixie go over me. Kind of scary, for a moment I thought I was going to be eaten by Tahoes version of the Loch Ness monster.
Its a beautiful lake. I have dived, fished, water ski'd, and boated there. It amazes me that it is still as clear as it is after so many years of humanity living around it.0 -

You bet! The water temperature near the surface generally cools to 40 to 50oF during February and March and warms to 65 to 70oF during August and September. Below a depth of 600 to 700 ft the water temperature remains a constant 39oF
Lake Tahoe has a water clarity of about 100 ft deep. It's deepest point is 1,645 ft[:0] and the scary part is most that drown in accidents in the lake that haven't been found in years remain preserved due to the cold water temps.0
