The Longest Thread Ever Was...................
Cowdoc was correct, the longest thread on GB was titled "Sugar Bear" AKA, The Trivia Thread! First posted on 8-7-2004 and was finally locked due to petty whiners and miscreants on 10-15-05.
The thread was 113 pages long and consisted of 5,609 replies and had 42,157 reads. It was loved by many and loathed by few. It was a shame when it was locked for it gave many great pleasure, myself especially.
It can still be enjoyed in the locked archives if searched for as titled above. The Bear might be dead but the Kitty still lives!

I remember it from back in my "lurking days". Also the "smoking jacket" thread. That one got pretty long too! 0 -
I started a thread that was called "Post just to get your post count up," a couple of years ago, and it went over 100 pages in the first day and was poofed, not locked. It only lasted about 12 hours...
It had absolutely no meaning. I forget who the posters were, but overnight three guys must have added several hundred posts each. I don't know how they did that...0 -
My "The Last Person to Post WINS" thread would have been MUCH longer than any thread we've had here, ever, if it had been allowed to continue.
IF I remember correctly, it was over 40 pages in less than 2 days......then it was poofed.
