My sis-in-law graduated from the local vo-tech school as a dental hygenist. I don't really know how you can get that through correspondence. My s.i.l.'s program was 2 years, with lots of practical work, actually sticking their hands in people's mouths and scraping off tarter.

Not to "preach" at ya, but you are using your head thinking about this before kids. If she doesn't get her education now, it will be SUPER hard to do so after kids.

What about Real Estate....its a quick class-type thing you can go through to get your license and when you are done most Real Estate companies will hire you right away.

My hygenist is named Katy, therfore Katy the torture lady. I think that would kinda suck though scrapping plaque off some nasty teeth all day

I have a crush on my dental hygenist. I always eat a bunch of Oreo cookies right before my appointments.[:D][:D][:D]

If everyone waited until they had money to start having kids we would be a population of 40-60 year olds raising their kids.
Get on in there son, you'll find the money to pay for the little buggers later.

Mrs.PLaid was a dental assistant when I met her. I think I had 3 root canals and a butt load of fillings. She hated the job.

My dental hygienist now is one sadistic female woman.

I don't think I would want someone poking around on my teeth with sharp instruments if they learned it from a correspondence course. Getting an education now before kids is the way to go though. I went back to school after our oldest son was born took me almost 4 years to get a 2 year degree going to night class and working full time.

Since she has always loved working with children. I brought up the thought of being a pediatric nurse.

    Not sure what we'll do.

We're 23 yrs old and want to start having kids before we're 25. I hope we can work it all in.

The Army's got a really good x-ray technician's school in Ft Lewis Washinton that's only a year long. She could enlist in the National Guard or Reserve as an x-ray tech, go to the school for a year (and take you with), get paid for it and use it in the civilian market for about 40,000 to 50,000 a year starting, and then serve the minimum enlistment and get out.
