Patels a cult?
All of the red dot indians named Patel, which translated from Indian means dishonest innkeeper, say they are related. Does that make them a cult? Or would that be a cult-de-reddot?

Actually the name "Patel" is what they can change there name to once they have made a certain amount of money in America. It is like a status symbol. They may come to our country with the last name Hinduis, then after they have "made it" here, they get the privelege of changing there last name to Patel. True story. 0 -

Many Patels are in the Motel/Hotel business, I was told that the Profesion not the income was the granting of the last name Patel. Not because it sounds like it but that it means literally the head man of the villiage. 0 -

I know a guy named Patel; he told me that Patel in Hindi means "rich land owner" and the name Patel was as common as "Smith" in the US. 0
