Is Rendell still governor there in PA? He was an azzwipe as a mayor in Philadelphia and he is still an azzwipe! Yeah, lets prohibit "assault weapons", that will surely reduce the crime in the state. The mayor of Philadelphia is always crying about the availability of guns causing the staggering crime rate in Philly. I moved out here to Wyoming where everyone has a firearm in their homes and vehicles, but surprisingly, we have had only one homicide in the past five years! Blame the guns, not the revolving door justice system in place in the city of brotherly love! 0 -
Same crap here in Illinois...ALL people better stand up against this or it will be over before most people realize it...nambu 0 -

Agreed. Same crap here on the state of Illinois website.

An excerpt:
"I have lost my precious `Nugget' to a deadly assault weapon that had no business being in my neighborhood. She would be alive today but for the deadliness of these weapons," said Siretha Woods, mother of Siretha White. "Our family is so grateful for the outpouring of support from Gov. Blagojevich, Mayor Daley, and those in the state legislature that have shown care for the violence being perpetrated in our homes. Please, in the name of Siretha White, ban assault weapons in Illinois."
Keep in mind Englewood is in the heart of Chicago where there's already strict bans in place. I'm betting Siretha Woods was unaware of this and I doubt anyone was willing to inform her.
Thankfully, nothing ever happened with this. Funny though, how this was from March 2006. The state of IL website became eerily quiet about it since then leading up to the election. Nothing has been posted since about it. And wouldn't you know, 50% of 21% of our population decided he was suitable for another term so, he won. Eh, why not? [xx(][V]0 -
So under PA ruling, the following that is sitting in my gun safe is an assault weapon as well:
Ruger 10-22 on a Fajen Silhouette Thumbhole stock with a Shilen barrell with a compensator on it simply because I can put a 25 round magazine in it???
WTH???0 -
From what I understand from reading this, everyone in Pa that has a 10\22 is going to commit a felony if he don't get it registered with the State Police. Am I reading this right?[?][?] If so, its about time everybody either gets on the phone or starts writing letters. I always thought PA was Ok but now I am changing my mind. [:(!][:(!][:(!] 0 -
so did it pass or is it still a bill? 0 -
Ohhh, PA USED to be OK...but electing POS scum sucking lawyers from Filthadelphia as your gov is a dumb idea....and the influx of NJ/NY new residents, traditionally anti-gun states, isn't helping.
ALl this is because of Philly's appaling murder rate. Never mind they are ganstas who buy their guns illegally...
I guess it's time to write to my state rep and senator...they are pro-gun, thank God0 -
